Evan Mitnick
President
Evan Mitnick serves as President of the division, bringing over 30 years of experience in financial services, mortgage lending, and capital markets.
Evan’s distinguished career includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Harvest Small Business Finance, where he managed capital markets activities, structured securitizations, and led financial and SBA reporting. He also served as President of Anchor Street Mortgage and has held key positions at Prudential Securities, Citigroup, and New Century Mortgage, where he focused on SBA 7(a) and small balance commercial loan securitizations.
In his role at New Day Commercial Capital, Evan plays a pivotal part in shaping operational strategies, underwriting policies, and servicing guidelines. He oversees all capital markets activities, approves loans over $3 million, and manages the operations of both the Servicing and Finance Departments. Evan’s leadership strengthens New Day Commercial Capital's ability to deliver innovative lending solutions while supporting its ongoing commitment to operational excellence and exceptional client service.

Dain K. Court
Chief Origination Officer
Dain K. Court serves as Chief Origination Officer for the division, bringing over 20 years of distinguished experience in commercial and residential mortgage lending.
Dain’s notable career includes serving as the top-ranked Regional Sales Manager at Harvest Small Business Finance, where he led a team originating $150–$200 million annually in SBA 7(a) and small balance commercial loans. He has also excelled as a leading loan originator at Plaza Bank and founded several successful mortgage origination firms, demonstrating his extensive expertise and entrepreneurial drive.
In his current role at New Day Commercial Capital, Dain is instrumental in driving growth by recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performing sales team while maintaining a strong book of business. His strategic vision and innovative approach help deliver customized financial solutions for clients while reinforcing New Day Commercial Capital's position as a trusted provider of client-focused lending programs.
Jason Chun
Chief Credit Officer
Jason Chun serves as Chief Credit Officer for the division, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the finance industry and deep expertise in credit risk management.
In his role, Jason oversees the Credit Department for New Day Commercial Capital, where he plays a critical part in evaluating credit risk, supporting lending strategies, and ensuring compliance with Velocity Commercial Capital’s underwriting standards. He is responsible for reviewing and approving all loans over $1.5 million, helping ensure that lending decisions are sound, strategic, and fully aligned with Velocity’s credit policies.
Jason’s strategic leadership, analytical expertise, and attention to detail allow New Day Commercial Capital to deliver tailored financial solutions while upholding its commitment to excellence in lending.
Bob Forsythe
Chief Operating Officer
Bob Forsythe serves as Chief Operating Officer for the division, bringing over 30 years of impactful experience in commercial real estate and finance.
Before joining New Day Commercial Capital, Bob served as the Head of Small Balance Commercial Lending at Angel Oak, where he expanded the firm’s lending portfolio and strengthened its market presence. As President of Pacific West CDC, he spearheaded strategic initiatives that positioned the company as a key player in the industry.
Bob’s career also includes serving as the Chief Banking Officer at Plaza Bank, where he streamlined operations and boosted profitability, as well as senior leadership roles including COO of Lehman Brothers SBF and SVP of CNL Commercial Finance. At New Day Commercial Capital, Bob leverages his deep industry expertise and strategic leadership to oversee operational performance, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth while supporting its ongoing commitment to excellence in lending.
